BUSINESS NOTES: Realtors honored, airport gets grant

Feb. 3----Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors presented its annual awards on Jan. 26. Winners of Clinton office specific awards were: Sandy Jo Huizenga (Excellence in Service Award and the Nelson Brothers Agency Award), Kris Whalen (Top Lister Award, Top Sales Award and the Top Referral Associate Award), Hannah Peart (Top Ruhl Mortgage Award), and Liz Nash (Community Involvement Award)

—The Clinton Municipal Airport will receive $79,000 for the reconstruction of taxi lane pavement through the federal Airport Infrastructure Grants Program for fiscal year 2024. The funding was made possible by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 that was supported by Sen. Chuck Grassley but opposed by Sen. Joni Ernst and Iowa U.S. Reps. Randy Feenstra, Ashley Hinson and Mariannette Miller-Meeks. Overall, 20 Iowa airports will cumulatively receive more than $15 million to modernize infrastructure.

—The lineup for DeWitt's Tunes in Town summer concert series includes 3 Day Rain (June 4), 3 On The Tree (June 11), Country Tradition (June 18), The Crooked Cactus Band (June 25), Avey Grouws Band (July 2), 10 of Soul (July 9), The Hot Rods (July 16), Angela Meyer Band (July 23), Jordan Danielsen and Jef Spradley Band (July 30), Montana Sunrise (Aug. 6), The Hitman (Aug. 13), Jimmy Welty Band (Aug. 20) and The Tailfins Band (Aug. 27). The Tuesday concerts will be fro 6-8:30 p.m.

—In the Quad-Cities region residential real estate market, Mel Foster Co.'s average sales price for was up 5.26% from 2022 at $224,830, according to a news release from the company.
