Cadbury scraps favourite chocolate bar as fans left fuming

Cadbury has left chocoholics across the nation in a state of dismay after discontinuing a much-loved Dairy Milk bar, sparking an outcry among disappointed fans.

The confectionery giant has decided to discontinue the popular Dairy Milk Orange treat that was launched amid great excitement in 2021, tapping into the UK's burgeoning love affair with chocolate orange flavours. Eagle-eyed sweet enthusiasts began to notice the absence of their favourite Dairy Milk orange bar from major supermarket chains like Sainsbury's and Tesco, which led to a buzz of speculation and disappointment on social media platforms.

It appears that this isn't an isolated incident, as other orange-flavoured goodies have also vanished without a trace. The introduction of the Dairy Milk orange bar had previously sent waves of excitement through the community of chocolate aficionados, with many rushing to try out the tangy new addition.

But in a disappointing turn of events, Cadbury has now confirmed that they are bidding farewell to this citrusy twist on their classic bar, making way for new flavours to take centre stage, as reported by TeessideLive.

A Mondelez International spokesperson, representing the parent company of Cadbury, commented on the decision, stating: "We continuously adapt our product range to ensure it meets changing tastes whilst supporting growth for our customers and business."

Cadbury fans have been left scratching their heads and scouring supermarket aisles after the beloved Dairy Milk Orange appears to have vanished without a trace. One chocoholic lamented: "Haven't seen them in stock in ages in Sainsbury's - and their website says Out of Stock as well."

Another desperate fan reached out online, asking: "Hello, have you discontinued the dairy milk orange? I couldn't see it in Tesco today? " Cadbury, notorious for shaking up its chocolate lineup, recently introduced two new 180g Dairy Milk bars - Caramel Nut Crunch and Nutty Praline Crisp.

Yet, when Cadbury tinkers with its classic confections, it can leave a bitter taste for some. In January, there was uproar when Dairy Milk Marvellous Mix-ups with Oreo were nowhere to be found on shop shelves.
