Glasgow Royal Concert Hall's cafe is set to be temporarily closed for nearly one month.

Bosses at the city centre venue announced the closure on social media.

Customers are advised that the cafe will be shut from Monday, July 8 to Monday, August 5.

This is to allow for refurbishment works to be carried out.

The concert hall's box office will remain open on weekdays throughout July but will be closed at weekends - excluding Saturday, July 6.

A statement posted to the Killermont Street venue's Facebook page reads: "To allow for refurbishment works, the cafe at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall will close on Monday, July 8 and reopen on Monday, August 5.

"Glasgow Royal Concert Hall's Box Office will be open in July on weekdays but closed at weekends, except for Saturday, July 6."
