A man has been missing from an Essex town for more than two weeks and police are concerned for his welfare. Stephen Taylor has gone missing from Basildon and has not been seen since the beginning April.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Can you help us find Stephen Taylor who’s missing from Basildon? Stephen hasn’t been seen by anyone since 13 April and we’d like to make sure he’s okay.

"The 56-year-old is described as white, 6ft 1ins tall, large build and has brown shaved hair. Stephen also wears glasses and was last seen wearing a black fleece top and black cargo trousers.

"In the past, Stephen has been known to frequent Canvey Island and Southend. If you’re with Stephen, know where he is or have any information that could help us, call 999 and quote 493 of 15 April."
