Call the Midwife confirms nuns have "abandoned Poplar" in s13 snap
Call the Midwife season 13 will see the show's protagonists taking a break from Poplar.
Nurse Crane and Miss Higgins are off to the coast of Sussex for episode five of the upcoming season, as confirmed by a photo posted to the series' official Instagram account.
The behind-the-scenes snap sees actresses Linda Bassett and Georgie Glen walking on the beach with a young expectant mother as a crew member holds a clapperboard in the foreground.
"LATEST: Nonnatuns brave the British seaside!" the caption reads.

"What do we have here?? Have Nurse Crane and Miss Higgins abandoned Poplar for the delights of the English Riviera? And who is that young mother-to-be that they're attending to....?" the post teased.
"Last week our team took a special excursion away from the smoke-filled streets of the Sixties East End to film in the fresh coastal air of Sussex."
The lengthy post also revealed three more episodes are to be filmed after the one in Sussex and that Call the Midwife fans will have to wait at least a few months for season 13, set to premiere next year following the annual Christmas special.
