'It's called girl power!' New women's boutique to open in Hull's Trinity Market - just four weeks after pair came up with idea

A women's boutique clothing store is set to open this weekend at Hull's Trinity Market.

Run by friends Nadine and Venice, NV Boutique is bringing a bit of sass to the Victorian market. Since becoming friends at a separate event, the two vowed to get into the fashion business together just four weeks ago.

Working hard to get their first-ever joint business venture up and running in just a short month, NV Boutique is set to open on Saturday, June 15.

"We met because I did a fashion event called Social Butterfly. Venice came down to the event and we became friends. Just four weeks ago, we said, "Shall we just open a boutique" and - Ta da! It's called girl power," co-owner Nadine told Hull Live.

NV Boutique will stock women's clothing, but the two already know their demographic. "We market towards the younger era - definitely between 16 to 30. We sell a lot of clubbing and going out items, but we've also got a lot of unique day pieces," said Nadine.

The two also say that they want to stand out amongst other boutiques in the area. Venice said: "We also give people in Hull a chance to sell their items. They can bring in their unwanted items and we will sell them for them. We do the hard work."

Customers can have their items in the boutique for up to two weeks on a commission basis. Appointments are needed to have items on sale and can be organised by messaging the boutique on their social media accounts found here.

NV Boutique will open in Trinity Market on Saturday, June 15. The boutique will be open Tuesday - Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm.
