Premier League rivals are reportedly circling around Callum Hudson-Odoi, however Nottingham Forest have no intention to sell the winger only a year after signing for the club.

Following a troubling period of injuries at boyhood club Chelsea where he was then ousted by new signings, the 23-year-old opted to find somewhere else to kick on with his career. Forest were the club to benefit from that decision and he quickly became an influential member of the squad.

But the promise that was there whilst a youngster at Stamford Bridge, partnered with the rediscovered ability on display at the City Ground, has not gone unnoticed. The Athletic now claim that at least three clubs - some of them direct competitors in the English top-flight - have registered their interest this summer.

In this case though it is good news for Forest on two counts. First of all, Nuno and Co have no intention to part ways with Hudson-Odoi and so a £40m price tag - around a £35m increase on the fee plus add-ons paid for his services last summer - has been established. Secondly, it is said that the player's desire is to continue on his current trajectory in the East Midlands.

Transfer talk had already cropped up before the end of his maiden campaign with Forest. Tottenham Hotspur were named as admirers whilst it was claimed a Champions League club were also in the mix.

Hudson-Odoi made 35 appearances in all competitions. He started 24 of those and featured in every single match Nuno has overseen since being appointed manager of the club last December, scoring all eight of his goals in the Premier League to end the season runner-up behind Chris Wood in the club's league goalscoring chart.

“23/24 Season done. Thank you for all your amazing support, we go again next season," was the message he posted to Instagram after the final game of the season, gaining a hugely positive response from supporters in the process.
