Premier League West Ham are said to be “admirers” of Coventry City’s Callum O’Hare.

O’Hare looks set to leave the Sky Blues this summer after turning down a new contract at the CBS Arena. He looks set to exit on a free transfer after five years with the club.

And the Hammers are understood to be “impressed” with O’Hare’s stats for Coventry, with the Guardian reporting they are “in the running” for the 25-year-old.

Coventry boss Mark Robins admitted in February that O’Hare was waiting to see if he has Premier League interest this summer. “Callum wants to keep his options open, and I think everyone will have gleaned that by now, and that’s his prerogative,” he said.

“We have offered him a contract, and a good contract at that, and he wants to keep his options open to see if there are Premier League clubs wanting to take him; whether we get into the Premier League and then we become an option, or become an option anyway.

“I think all options are on the table and he just wants to keep them open, and that’s his prerogative.”

Coventry’s chances of winning promotion to the Premier League are now ended, having reached the Championship play-offs final last season, which makes it look almost certain O’Hare will now leave this summer.
