Callum O'Hare sends Coventry City message amid Leeds United transfer interest

Callum O'Hare has sent a message to fans after his Coventry City exit was confirmed this week, with Leeds United among a clutch of clubs interested in the playmaker.

The 26-year-old left the CBS Arena at the start of July after his contract expired, and is now looking for his next challenge. Leeds are thought to be monitoring his situation, with Championship promotion rivals Burnley also keen, along with Premier League clubs West Ham, Southampton and Leicester City.

O'Hare was a key man in the Sky Blues' Championship season and FA Cup run, scoring 10 times in 36 appearances for Mark Robins' side, including a goal against Manchester United at Wembley in the FA Cup sem-final. Now, he is ready to take the next step in his career, and sent a farewell message to Coventry fans before finalising his summer plans.

“Thank you for everything, taking me in as soon as I came through the door and giving me some of the best moments and memories of my life," he posted on social media. “Thank you for the special connection we created together and singing my song every single game and, most importantly, thank you for being you.”

Coventry had confirmed his departure earlier this week, saying: “Thank you for everything, Cal. Good luck in your next chapter."

Leeds could be on the lookout for more creative talent this summer should they lose Crysencio Summerville, with Archie Gray already departed. However, the Whites have rejected a £30m bid for Georginio Rutter.
