Polling stations across Cambridgeshire are set to open tomorrow for the 2024 General Election. A total of 55 candidates are contesting the county's eight constituencies.

We've spoken to people in Cambridge, Peterborough and elsewhere about the issues that matter to them this election. We've attended hustings events and spoke to voters on the streets.

We've also covered polls predicting how every constituency could end up voting from an array of polling companies - with some predicting very close results in some areas of Cambridgeshire. The only things that can be said with any real certainty is that this could be one of the most interesting elections in modern British political history - and that every vote could make the difference in your area.

All this is of course just building up to the vote itself - and the results. Counting is set to take place throughout the night and the eight MPs are set to be declared throughout the early hours of Friday morning.

CambridgeshireLive will have reporters at counts for five of the county's constituencies - and speaking to candidates and the winners in each of them. Our Newsdesk will also be working overnight to provide you with live updates and results from everywhere in the county - along with major updates from further afield.
