A team of Canadians aided Ukrainian firefighters during a cleanup operation in Kharkiv, Ukraine, on June 8, the regional state emergency service said.

According to the Kharkiv emergency service, members of the Canadian International Rescue Organization (CIRO) helped Ukrainian firefighters to cut concrete structures and destroy slabs on a high-rise residential building to allow construction to be carried out safely.
