Canadian Wildfire Smoke Impacts Eastern Florida

Florida residents woke up to hazy skies and “unhealthy” air quality on Tuesday, October 3, due to wildfire smoke that weather officials said has been drifting south from Canada.

The smoke seen in east-central Florida was coming from a fire burning in Quebec, weather officials said on Monday. The wildfire smoke has impacted air quality and visibility and was reported as far south as Miami, according to news reports.
