Now that the summer season has begun, the Euros are in full swing and school holidays are just around the corner, it’s one of the busiest periods for Manchester Airport. In May the airport marked another record-breaking month with nearly 2.8 million passengers travelling through the northern travel hub.

It expects around 100,000 passengers to pass through the airport in the coming weeks as they jet off to Germany for the football, which could lead to another bumper month this June. Although things run smoothly most of the time, flights can be cancelled or delayed for various reasons as we saw over the weekend when a power cut caused major disruption at the airport.

An outage occurred in the early hours on Sunday which led to flights being cancelled from Terminal 1 and 2 for several hours. Power was later restored but it led to long queues and a backlog of baggage.

The airport has resumed normal operations since, but it’s important to keep an eye on the status of your flight when travelling. Below is the latest information on cancelled flights from Manchester Airport and flights that have been delayed by at least 30 minutes, using data from flightradar24.com. The list will be updated throughout the day.
