The general election takes place on July 4, 2024, and voters in Wales will be able to cast their votes from 7am until 10pm at polling stations up and down the country. There are hundreds of candidates across Wales representing all the major parties, as well as those who are independent candidates and even a Monster Raving Loony candidate.

We expect Welsh results to begin coming in around 2am and continue until the early hours of Friday morning, however any recounts or hiccups could impact the estimated declaration times you can see here. Our reporters will be across the country bringing you all the results and analysis.

Pollsters expect Labour to do well and take almost all the seats, although the last Welsh specific poll before the election showed four seats are too close to call. You can read about that here.

This election the electoral map has been redrawn and the constituency you live in may have changed. There are 32 instead of the previous 40 seats in Wales. You can find out more about that here and check the constituency where you live by entering your postcode here:

We have also published individual guides to each constituency and asked every candidate to answer the same four questions, so you can learn all about them. To access those, click on the name of your constituency and the link will open.
