Caoimhin Kelleher makes Celtic fans say the same thing as connection sparks Parkhead dream

Caoimhin Kelleher has got Celtic fans dreaming once more after noticing his interaction with Adam Idah.

The Liverpool No2 - understudy to undisputed first choice Alisson Becker - has found his name come up on several occasions when it has come to the Scottish champions. Brendan Rodgers is on the hunt for a new No1 for next season with Joe Hart hanging up his gloves in the summer. The former England international is set to bow out on a high with another Scottish Premiership title under his belt and he could make it even sweeter with a Scottish Cup success next weekend against Rangers.

His decision to call it a day has left Rodgers still looking for his replacement and Kelleher has been one the Parkhead faithful have dreamed about getting in the door. The Republic of Ireland international has enjoyed more top team minutes this campaign due to injury woes for Alisson meaning he has played in 26 games across all competitions including the English Premier League, Europa League and domestic cup competitions.

Whether or not he looks to depart this summer could be up in the air with Jurgen Klopp departing Anfield. Arne Slot has been long linked with taking over the top job and may well do his best to convince him to stay on, but being a No2 again could have the goalkeeper seek pastures new. Of course he would command a big fee and no doubt have plenty of interest in his services but that has not stopped Celtic fans of dreaming of a link-up between himself and Idah next season. The Norwich City striker has made a huge impact during his loan spell in Glasgow and he is another the Hoops fans will hope puts pen to paper on the dotted line.

After his goal in the 5-0 win over Kilmarnock on Wednesday night, Idah took to social media to celebrate Celtic's league title success with Kelleher dropping in on his comments. He replied to his post: "Love it you." with a green heart emoji and clapping hands.

Fans were quick to notice and told the 25-year-old to get up to Scotland next season. One wrote: "The two of you can sign next season." Another commented: "Sign up. Champions League and lots of trophies." One further fan added: "Up the road."
