Carl Frampton goes through wringer watching Anthony Cacace's world title win
Carl Frampton went through the wringer watching Belfast boxer Anthony Cacace become IBF World champion on Saturday night.
Frampton was in Riyadh as part of TNT Sport's coverage of the huge fight night, headlined by Tyson Fury's undisputed heavyweight showdown with Oleksandr Usyk at the Kingdom Arena.
Cacace produced a career-best performance to stop champion Cordina in the eighth round of their super-featherweight clash. The 'Andytown Apache' had Cordina down in the third and bossed much of the fight.
He then landed a big right in the eighth to force Cordina onto the ropes, and more punishing shots forced referee Bob Williams to step in.
In footage shared by TNT Sports on social media, Frampton can be seen feeling every blow of the contest. From biting his nails, to jumping out of his chair, the former two-time world champion couldn't sit still for the entire bout.
He can be seen shouting 'Come on Anto!' and 'Good shot Anto', and then his emotions completely took over when Cacace finished Cordina.
Frampton looks down the camera and shouts: "I told you. I said it. Anto Cacace. World champion. Unbelievable!."
Check out the hilarious footage for yourself.
