Carole Middleton in Self Portrait Roses, Duchess Sophie in Daisy Appliqués and More Florals Dresses at Royal Ascot

Florals were trending among the members of the British royal family and guests at the 2024 Royal Ascot. The event, held annually at the famous Ascot Racecourse, featured many attendees in their very best spring-to-summer transitional attire, and florals popped off the fabric of a number of guests’ attire.

Carole Middleton

For the Wednesday festivities of Royal Ascot, Carole Middleton, mother of Kate Middleton, wore a floral-print chiffon dress in a shade of blue courtesy of Self Portrait. The midi dress featured long, sheer sleeves and a pleated skirt with flowers cascading down the fabric in a darker, contrasting shade of blue. She paired the dress with a set of navy pumps and a light blue fascinator with a statement floral element.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh

On Day Two of Royal Ascot, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh opted for a maxidress with sheer and see-through fabric courtesy of Suzannah London. The royal fashioned the Keres Daisy Dress from the fashion designer, which featured long sleeves, a high neckline and floor-length hem. The dress also featured sheer and see-through fabric on the bodice, sleeves and bottom of the skirt. Small daisies cascaded over the fabric, adding a pop of floral inspiration.

Zara Tindall

Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne and granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, wore her own take on floral-inspired dressing for Royal Ascot on Wednesday. The royal wore a long-sleeve midi dress with pops of floral courtesy of Anna Mason. The dress featured exaggerated cuffs with white buttons, added volume to the shoulders and a subtly defined waist.

Princess Beatrice

Princess Beatrice attended the second day of Royal Ascot on Wednesday wearing this dress courtesy of Zimmermann. The midi dress featured a light pink hue and an ornate pattern of Hibiscus flowers cascading across the fabric. Princess Beatrice also paired the dress with a dramatic pink headband by Juliette Millinery, which featured pink blossoms.
