Storms developed across southeastern Alabama on the morning of Saturday, May 18, with the National Weather Service (NWS) noting possible flash flooding, hail, and damaging wind gusts.

This footage shows cars driving through a flooded neighborhood street in Dothan, Alabama.

The NWS issued a special weather statement for the area, warning of 50 mph wind. The weather service also forecast lingering rain, thunder, and gusty winds throughout Saturday. Credit: Storyful via Storyful
