Cars Submerged Amid Severe Flooding Near Atlanta College Campus

A severe thunderstorm lashed Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday, September 14, causing flash flooding in the city’s downtown.

Footage by Kayla Easton shows several vehicles submerged in flood waters in the streets around the Clark Atlanta University campus.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Atlanta and surrounding communities on Thursday, and warned that localized flooding may be a potential hazard along with frequent lightning and gusty winds.
