Not for the first time, Catalans Dragons have been making a splash on the recruitment front heading into the 2025 season. The French club has been more responsible than most for bringing big-name players to the competition over the years, and that looks set to continue next year.

The club has already confirmed the signing of Canberra Raiders and Australia international Nick Cotric, as well as two top Super League performers, Tommy Makinson and Oli Partington. However, two big names are still set to follow.

Both Luke Keary and Elliott Whitehead are believed to have agreed deals to sign for the club next year too, which will see one of the best halfbacks of a generation and one of Super League's best-ever back-rowers in the competition next year.

It gives Catalans plenty of star power to go alongside their existing talent, plenty of which is French, too.

With Keary joining Cotric at the club next year, it would confirm that two of the club's existing quota players will depart. Manu Ma'u, who is off-contract at the end of the year, appears very likely to be one of those, while Sio Siua Taukieaho has long been linked with a departure. That said, there were reports earlier in the year that Chris Satae could move too.

Outgoings are something to keep an eye on in the coming months, with the likes of Tom Johnstone, Tom Davies and Mike McMeeken already confirmed to be leaving at the end of the season. But others, such as Alrix Da Costa, are off-contract at the end of the year too.

With all that in mind, we've put together a potential seventeen Steve McNamara could pick next season, and it's an impressive-looking side, featuring seven Frenchmen in their side.

Potential Catalans Dragons side in 2025 : Arthur Mourgue, Nick Cotric, Matt Ikuvalu, Arthur Romano, Tommy Makinson, Theo Fages, Luke Keary, Romain Navarrete, Micky McIlorum, Julian Bousquet, Tariq Sims, Elliott Whitehead, Ben Garcia. Subs: Jayden Nikorima, Oli Partington, Chris Satae, Jordan Dezaria.
