This marks O’Hara’s first full-time TV gig since wrapping up her six-season, Emmy-winning run as faded soap star Moira Rose on Schitt’s Creek in 2020.
In addition to O’Hara and Rogen, the Studio ensemble also includes Kathryn Hahn (WandaVision), Ike Barinholtz (The Mindy Project) and Chase Sui Wonders (Generation, Bupkis).
Breaking Bad vet Bryan Cranston, meanwhile, will guest star in the series, which will be written, directed and exec-produced by Rogen and frequent collaborator Evan Goldberg (both of whom serve as the show’s creators, alongside Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory and Frida Perez).
The Studio guest cast also includes The Upshaws‘ Dewayne Perkins and Curb Your Enthusiasm breakout Keyla Monterroso Mejia.
Production on The Studio — which was greenlit at Apple waaaaaay back in 2020 — is already underway. After shooting concludes early this summer, Rogen will begin production on Season 2 of his other Apple TV+ comedy, Platonic.
