Cathkin Primary School is searching for a new principal teacher.

Applications for the role are set to close this week on Friday, May 10, after going live on April 26.

The salary listed for the position at the school based on Burnside Road in Rutherglen is £55,077 per annum.

The school, which has two classes for pupils with additional support needs (ASN) and three for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), describes itself as having a “very good school ethos” that allow “pupils feel well supported and included in our school”.

The principal teacher will be a member of the management team supporting a policy of consultative and participative management and will contribute to the school’s improvement plan.

Although specific duties are defined in the job profile, they are not exhaustive and can change to suit the needs and priorities of the school.

The necessity for change will be determined by the head teacher.
