Victim allegedly punched and knocked unconscious during Sunderland attack

A victim was allegedly attacked and suffered serious injuries in Sunderland.

Northumbria Police have been investigating the reported attack which occurred on Vine Place at about 1.15am on Sunday, February 11.

For reasons to be established, the victim was punched to the head and was knocked unconscious.

Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and police released the image of a man they wanted to trace.

In an update, Northumbria Police said they had now traced the man.
