CCTV released after man found with serious head injury in Blackpool town centre

Police have issued an appeal after an alleged assault in Blackpool left a man in hospital with serious injuries.

Emergency services were scrambled to Devonshire Square at around 10pm on Saturday (May 11). According to reports, an individual had been found in the street with a severe head injury.

Lancashire Constabulary has released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident. Officers believe he may be able to help their investigation.

The victim, a male in his 20s, was taken to hospital from Blackpool town centre. He remains there in a serious but stable condition.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.

A spokesperson for police said: "We are releasing a CCTV image of a man we want to speak to in connection with a serious assault in Blackpool.

"Our officers were called to Devonshire Square, Blackpool, at 10pm yesterday following reports a man had been found in the street with a serious head injury having been assaulted inside and outside a public house. The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
