The quake’s epicenter was Michoacan, one of Mexico’s western states, according to the Servicio Sismologico Nacional (SSN).

The tremors were felt in the Central and South zones of Mexico City and spurred evacuations from buildings and hospitals, according to local reports. Credit: @itspapajon via Storyful
