Celebration of life to be held in honor of East Texas senior student athlete
MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas (KETK) — Mount Pleasant ISD is mourning the death of a student athlete who died on Saturday.

According to a release, the school said Trevor Broach was a member of the Tiger varsity football team, varsity track and field team, National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
The school said a celebration of life for Broach will be held at the First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. A candlelight vigil will be held on Thursday at Sam Parker Stadium at 7 p.m.
People are asked to donate to the Trevor Broach Memorial Scholarship at 410 N. Jefferson Ave. #175 in Mount Pleasant in lieu of flowers.
Broach’s obituary said he will be deeply missed but not forgotten.
“Though his time with us was too short, Trevor’s legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him,” the obituary said.
