Celebrations have been held to mark the 100th birthday of a Warwickshire care home resident with a 'vibrant spirit'. Joan Tenney was joined by family, friends and staff at Leycester House to mark the milestone.

The luxury all-inclusive care home, a member of the Berkley Care Group, hosted the event on Tuesday (June 18). Joan was born in Hackney, London, and worked as a wages clerk.

She was married to Roy Tenney, a petty officer in the Navy. Together, they raised two children, John and Judith.
