Celebrity Big Brother 2016: Stephen Bear Is The LOWEST Paid Housemate

He might be one of the most talked about housemates on Celebrity Big Brother this year, but it has been revealed that Stephen Bear is the lowest paid resident of the Elstree bungalow.

According to reports, Bear will be taking home just £12,000 for his stint on the Channel 5 reality show, despite insisting he was “worth millions” during negotiations. Ruthless!

While the sum is certainly modest for four weeks’ work, some of his celebrity counterparts signed for £100k deals, including Sam Fox, Christopher Biggins and Grant Bovey, who was the first to be evicted.

Bear allegedly accepted the low offer knowing that he would cash in on the show with magazine deals, interviews and television appearances following his eviction from the compound.

“He knew he would be one of the stars of the show and really pushed for a bumper pay cheque but the producers wouldn’t budge,” a source told The Sun.

They added: “[Bear] had hoped he would be able to cash in with big bucks magazine deals with his girlfriend after leaving the house, having split with his manager and signed to the same management team as Lillie to make it happen.

“But now that he has cheated on her with Chloe Khan he will have to work hard to build the relationship back up again.”

The Ex On The Beach star’s former partner Lillie Lexie Gregg entered the CBB house last night as part of a task to confront him over his X-rated antics with Chloe in the house.

She said: “You asked me to be there when you got home, I was supporting you 100%. The embarrassment and humiliation I’ve had… this is all one big game to you, it is a joke at my expense.”

And for once Bear was speechless, but later addressed the situation with Big Brother in the Diary Room, explaining: “I can’t be with her; it’s not fair on her. I was adamant I wasn’t going to get with no one. Everything happens for a reason… she’s had a lucky escape from me.”

Celebrity Big Brother returns to Channel 5 tonight at 9pm.
