Fern Britton has reacted to being booed by the Celebrity Big Brother live crowd.
The former This Morning presenter faced a hostile reaction from the live crowd during the double live eviction special this week, including facing chants of "Get Fern out".
Viewers saw more in-depth highlights of the eviction during Wednesday's (March 20) episode, when Fern appeared to be rattled by the boos from the CBB live audience.
Despite those jeers, Fern and fellow nominee Nikita Kuzmin survived the double live eviction when the public chose to kick out Marisha Wallace and Zeze Millz instead.
Fern was comforted by the other housemates following the end of the live show, when she seemed to be struggling to process the fan reaction.
"That's strange, isn't it?" she said to Colson Smith.
The Coronation Street star tried to cheer up his housemate by referring to her as "Fern the finalist", since neither knew yet that there would be one more eviction.
Fern then shared a moment with Nikita, after they'd clashed earlier in the week and yet both survived the public vote.
"Who would have predicted that?" Fern asked Nikita, with the dancer answering: "No one!"
In the Diary Room later on, Fern admitted she wasn't sure how she'd survived the latest double live eviction after being jeered by the live crowd.
"I think I need to process that a bit. How did this happen?" she asked Big Brother.
Earlier in the episode, Fern was injured during a game with fellow housemates when she accidentally banged her head on a sofa after colliding with Nikita.
Unfortunately for the housemates, Big Brother has one more surprise twist in store — with one housemate set to leave before the final in a backdoor eviction.
Celebrity Big Brother airs Sundays through Fridays at 9pm on ITV1 and the ITV Hub, followed by Late & Live on ITV2 immediately following each new episode.
