Celebrity frenzy at Flapjackery as Dermot O'Leary, Brian May, and others indulge at Somerset bakery

Staff at Flapjackery’s shop in Wells were astonished when TV and radio presenter Dermot O'Leary dropped by Flapjackery's shop to stock up on their scrumptious oat-filled, gluten-free flapjacks.

The star was making his way home from the Glastonbury Festival and couldn't resist the temptation of Flapjackery's tasty treats.

Shop assistant Sophie Bloodworth was thrilled to meet the famous presenter and said: "I knew he was famous, but I couldn't remember his name, as he looks so different in real life, so I had to ask him! He was lovely and took a big pile of flapjacks with him."

When asked about his favourite flavour, Sophie confessed she was too starstruck to remember, but admitted hers was definitely Apple and Blackcurrant.

But that wasn't the only celebrity sighting at Flapjackery as just hours later, Brian May and Anita Dodson stopped by the shop at RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival and purchased their own bag of flapjacks from Flapjackery's Martin Glenton. And then Vanessa Feltz broadcast her love of Flapjackery to her 394,000 Instagram followers having stopped by to say hello to Martin.

Flapjackery now boasts 12 shops across the Westcountry plus an outlet at Fordmore Farm Shop near Cullompton, with every single flapjack lovingly handmade at their Tavistock bakery in West Devon.
