Celebs Go Dating's Amy Tapper has awkward first date

Fans of Celebs Go Dating were a little worried that Gogglebox favourite Amy Tapper wasn't going to make an appearance on the series, but don't worry, she did.

Mind you, we kind of wish she hadn't – for her sake.

After much confusion, and even mild concern, 18-year-old Amy finally arrived at the Celebs Go Dating agency in this evening's (October 18) episode for her very first date.

Although Amy has since declared herself "decent" at dating, her first experience on E4's reality show didn't exactly end as planned, after the couple agonised over who should foot the bill.

In the episode, Amy and her date Ash were sitting in stony – and bloody awkward – silence after the waiter asked how they'll pay for their meal. Clearly reluctant to stick his hand in his pocket, Ash insisted to Amy that it's her call.

"I can't believe he's asking me what I want to do! This is so awkward," Amy told the camera while looking back on the date.

Viewers were itching as the red-faced events unfolded, with many calling out Ash for his lack of first-date manners.

And if that wasn't hard enough to watch, Amy eventually relenting and getting her card out to split the bill certainly is. "How do you not have contactless? It's 2018," her date asks her.

Somehow we're not sure that's a question that'll be answered on a second date. Are you?
