Celtic star Greg Taylor weds childhood sweetheart in lavish Ibiza ceremony

Celtic star Greg Taylor tied the knot with his fiancee Laura McFarlene in a swanky ceremony in Ibiza with their nearest and dearest by their side.

The 26-year-old defender was looking suave as he donned a smart black tuxedo while his new bride Laura, 27, wore a stunning satin wedding dress.

The childhood sweethearts exchanged rings under palm trees at a resort in Old Town Ibiza in front of more than 100 guests.

A number of Celtic stars and WAGs joined the celebrations with goalkeeper Joe Hart and his wife Kim, Adam Idah, David Turnbull and former Hoops player Kristoffer Ajer and his wife Marte Kopp among those in attendance, the Record reports.

The wedding party later danced the night away under a pink marquee on the island.

Sharing photographs from their big day on Instagram, the newlyweds wrote: "Love, Laughter and Happily Ever After..."

Friends and family penned notes of love to the couple online.

One wrote: "Hope you both had the most amazing day."

Another said: "Congratulations gorgeous, it looked like a magical day."

While a third added: "Congratulations to you both once again. It was an incredible day and you were absolutely gorgeous, Laura."

Greg and Laura were legally married during an intimate ceremony at her family home in Greenock earlier this week.

NHS nurse Laura wore a striking pink gown and posed with a gorgeous bouquet by influencer-favourite florist Mud.

Greg looked more relaxed in a suit as they posed for photos. The couple got engaged in Mykonos in 2022 after getting together while they were both at school in Greenock.

The lavish proposal was caught on camera and showed the pair walking down a path of rose petals down to a huge heart made out of candles before the footballer got down on one knee.

Taylor, who joined Celtic from Kilmarnock in 2019, has been named in Steve Clark's provisional Euro 2024 squad and will be jetting off to Germany next month.
