Celtic title heroes serenaded with pyro party for the ages as champions roar 'Don't Worry, Be Happy'

Premiership champions Celtic were treated like rock stars as they returned home as champions for a 12th time in 13 seasons.

Brendan Rodgers and his players were greeted on the Celtic Way by thousands of adoring punters with the classic 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' blared out with fireworks and pyro lighting up the night sky. Celtic supporters lined up in their thousands to greet their heroes after their 5-0 trouncing of Kilmarnock sealed another title.

It was a night of joy for those who live and breathe the Hoops as they get set for another party on trophy day when St Mirren come to town and then they take on Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final on May 25. Rodgers addressed the punters who patiently awaited their return form Rugby Park and waxed lyrical after the game over the displays of those who secured the title.

Boss Rodgers was full of praise for Matt O'Riley and Adam Idah for their displays against Kilmarnock. The Celtic boss said: “Adam showed the pace, power and touch and he bullied their centre halves.

"He did so well for us. Matt’s goals and assists and workrate have been amazing. But it was a collective performance - we were brilliant in the game. We were at the top of our game.”
