All change again as North Staffordshire venue gets another new name

Food lovers will have the chance to head back to a North Staffordshire venue this week - after yet another makeover. Mokissos Restaurant is the latest business set to open on the Buxton Road site in Leek.

The eatery is due to open on Thursday after the building underwent a revamp. It marks another chapter for the venue, which sits on the junction of Buxton Road and Thorncliffe Road.

StokeonTrentLive reported how its last incarnation, Moss Rose Mediterranean Grill and Bar, had opened in December 2022. But in February it shut to allow staff to head out to earthquake-hit Turkey as 'close relatives' of the team were affected.

It did continue to operate after that with the last update on its Facebook page in December. Now there's a new Facebook page for Mokissos with the revamped venue to open on June 27 between noon and 11pm.

Prior to becoming a restaurant, the building was the Mose Rose Inn and later Sera Cafe Bistro. New signs say the restaurant is 'under new management' as the building embarks on its latest chapter.
