Channel 4 issues Fred Sirieix update after 21 series' of First Dates

Channel 4 has issued an update regarding First Dates maître d'hôtel Fred Sirieix.

The 52-year-old is best known for his role on the hit dating show, as well as having appeared on BBC Two's Million Pound Menu, and Gordon, Gino & Fred on ITV. Fred has been at the helm of a whopping 21 series of First Dates, with the most recent airing on Channel 4 back in January.

And in a new post on X, formerly Twitter, Channel 4 confirmed another series is on its way, and said Fred is ready to help those looking for romance.

The post read: "Are you single and looking for love? Fred and his First Dates team are here to help you find the perfect partner..." A link was included telling fans how they could apply to take part.

Channel 4 bosses added: "Our BAFTA award-winning documentary series, First Dates, is looking for singletons searching for love. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the world's most romantic restaurant is opening its doors to welcome people on a very special blind date.

"Each couple is meticulously matched based on their likes and dislikes and if Cupid strikes, this could be the night that changes lives forever..."
