Channel 4 Location, Location, Location viewers gasp at 'incredibly privileged' first-time buyers
Viewers tuning into a new series of Location, Location, Location tonight were left shocked by the price of property in Brighton and Hove. Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp were back on screens helping two couples find their perfect homes.
Phil showed Danit and Rafi around flats after they inherited cash from a grandparent. The couple had a budget of £330,000 for a one-bedroom flat - something social media users were quick to point out was "incredibly privileged."
One person wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "Over £300k for a first time buyer?! Jeeeeesus, as the girl said, that incredibly privileged/licky to have such a wealthy grandad! Think when mine passed I got £2k! #locationlocationlocation"

A second said: "Oh to have a wealthy relative. I’ve no chance of owning my own house, not unless I find a boyfriend with the money for a house or until my parents die, but even then it won’t be much after splitting it and inheritance tax #LocationLocationLocation."
Other fans were pleased to see the show back on screens. One user said: "Nice to have #LocationLocationLocation back." Another commented: "Kirsty just sat in my local!"
Elsewhere in the programme, couple Amanda and Annette were searching for a three-bedroom bungalow with a budget of £800,000. The pair were after somewhere accessible following Amanda's rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis.
Location, Location, Location has returned for series 41 and continues on Channel 4 on Wednesdays at 8pm.
