Bradley Walsh was forced to tell a contestant to 'stop it' during a new episode of The Chase on Tuesday.

Four new participants were welcomed by the television legend to the studio to compete for a cash reward and a chance to take down The Chaser.

Jo, Liz, Sheryl, and Jack were up against Paul Sinha, also known as The Sinnerman, in Tuesday's episode of the ITV show.

During Jack's turn, things got rather uncomfortable as he was offered an impressive £40,000 but chose to settle for the lower amount in order to stay in the game and make it to the crucial final round, the Mirror reports.

When he said to Bradley: "I'm a bit of a square, so I'll go for the £8,000."

The host and former Coronation Street actor seemed puzzled as he asked: "Did you say you're a bit of a square? What's that got to do with it? "

Jack continued: "I'm a square, just a bit of a loser" but Bradley wasn't having it as he interjected: "No you're not all! That's got to stop immediately Jack! "

Thankfully, Bradley's words of support seemed to help as Jack held his own and bagged the £8,000, earning himself a place in the final.

Ultimately, all four quizzers made it through and successfully answered 20 questions, hoping to scoop a cash pile of £25,000 but they didn't manage to outsmart The Chaser this time around despite Paul being on fire and fans praising it as an "all-round top edition of The Chase".

Last week, viewers were left fuming as a contestant surprisingly ignored his partner, providing an important answer which The Chaser had previously given during the final stretch.

One disgruntled fan shared a clip of the incident on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) with the caption: "You have to see this to believe it."

Others confessed they'd watched the video multiple times and still couldn't quite believe what happened.

In the tense moment, host Bradley posed a question to resident Chaser Jenny Ryan: "Which confectionary company makes Revels? "

After a short pause, she replied "Cadbury," mistakenly. However, it was the subsequent reaction of one of the contestants which really caused shock.

Upon hearing the incorrect response, Bradley intervened and restated the question for remaining players, a male-female pair.

Struggling, the woman asked: "I can't think of another...Mars? " before her partner quietly murmured: "Cadbury", seemingly oblivious that The Chaser had already suggested that.

The female player replied: "She said Cadbury," only for her teammate to turn to Walsh and repeat: "Cadbury" as their final answer, leaving the lady visibly puzzled.

A perplexed Walsh pointed towards Jenny, uttering "She said Cadbury", at which point cameras turned to face The Chaser.

Bradley then unveiled that Mars was indeed the right answer.
