Chelsea Handler could make a comeback to late night TV.

The comedian and host, 48, said on Thursday's episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show that she would make a return to late night if the right circumstances were there.

“Yeah, I would be happy to do a job if the job was right for me and that there was a... you know, it made sense. Totally. I’d be happy to be back on TV,” Handler told host Jennifer Hudson.

Handler — who previously hosted Chelsea Lately on E! From 2007-2014 and Chelsea from 2016-2017— added that she thinks “it’s true” that “women are so underrepresented” when it comes to late night TV, and that she would keep the door open to hosting opportunities in hopes of evening out the balance.

“Yes, that’s always an option in my mind to go back to late night if the right person comes calling,” she shared. “But it’s also my ultimate pleasure to be able to go and see people, perform [with] live audiences, to write books [and] to do all the things I do.”

The Chelsea Handler: Evolution star said that she is content with where her life is currently and that she finds joy from entertaining people at her comedy shows.

“That's why I love touring because you get to be facing people, you know, interface with people and your fans,” she explained. “And you get to be in front of a live audience and there's nothing that gives me more pleasure than being on stage in front of thousands of people that have paid to see you there and putting on an incredible show.”

"When you're an artist there are so many outlets to creativity,” she added.

This isn’t the first time the former talk show host teased a return to late night TV. She told Entertainment Tonight last December while gearing up to guest-host The Daily Show in February that she could see herself returning to the genre.

"Yes, absolutely. I'm moving in that direction," Handler told the outlet, while adding that she mostly missed "having a female's perspective" on late night television.

"It's enough to have a bunch of guys that are on our side and are speaking up on behalf of us, but it's not the same as having a woman," she explained. "There is a lack of female representation, in late-night, and I can do that job. I've done it before and I'm gonna do it again."
