Chelsea could welcome back Reece James and Lesley Ugochukwu to their squad when they visit Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening. The Blues have been excellent at Stamford Bridge this year despite an ongoing injury crisis but away from home their vulnerabilities have been exposed - most recently at Arsenal.

Defender James, whose chances of earning a place in Gareth Southgate's England squad for this summer's Euros in Germany have been hit by injuries this season; he has featured in just nine games for Chelsea this term and not at all since before Christmas, but he has returned to training ahead of the trip to the City Ground.

Ugochukwu, meanwhile, is a £23m summer signing from Rennes who has endured an equally frustrating campaign relating to injuries. He hasn't played since Chelsea were beaten by Wolves at Molineux on Christmas Eve. He too, like James, has returned to training in a bid to feature before the end of the season arrives this month.

Chelsea do have an ongoing injury crisis, however; having recovered the likes of Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi and Raheem Sterling from injuries recently, they're still without Ben Chilwell, goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, Carney Chukwuemeka and Enzo Fernandez, as well as long-term absentees Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana.

Forest welcome Chelsea knowing that they could be a positive result away from securing their Premier League status, depending on the results involving Luton Town and Burnley in the 3pm kick offs; the Hatters, three points behind Forest, need a positive result at West Ham while Burnley have to beat Tottenham or they'll be relegated before Forest kick a ball.
