Cher is 'proud' of her boyfriend's fight with Travis Scott: 'He didn't start the fight...he finished it'

Alexander "AE" Edwards got into a scuffle with Scott at a Cannes after party.

Cher is standing up for her beau, rapper and music exec Alexander 'AE' Edwards, after he allegedly got into a fight with Travis Scott at a Cannes Film Festival after party attended by Tyga.

The living legend took to Twitter to share a brief message in solidarity with Edwards, expressing her pride in him on, fittingly, the first day of Pride Month.

"I’m Proud of Alexander," the gay icon wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "He Didn’t Start The fight against 2 Men,… He finished it, Gotta Love Him."

Edwards attended nightclub owner Richie Akiva's "THE AFTER" party on May 23 with Cher at a private villa after the AmfAR Gala. The fight allegedly occurred when both Scott and Tyga, who is a friend of Edwards, were onstage behind the DJ booth.

Though it's unclear who initiated the fight, or what it was about, both Scott and Tyga have been romantically involved with Kylie Jenner, with whom Scott shares two kids.

However, an eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight that Edwards was trying to diffuse the situation when a friend of Scott's pushed him and Edwards pushed him back, which led Scott trying and push Edwards off the stage. Edwards then retaliated by "dragging Scott across the stage and eventually throwing him off."

Or as Cher so succinctly put it, Edwards "finished" the fight. No serious injuries were reported.
