CHERRIES youngster Jack Wadham has completed a permanent move to National League Sutton United.

Wadham joins a Sutton side recently relegated from the Football League after a three-year stint in League Two, bringing to an end an 11-year association with Cherries.

The 21-year-old finished last season on loan at National League South side Worthing, helping the Sussex side reach the play-off final, where they were defeated by Braintree Town.

Head Coach Steve Morison said of the signing: ''I'm really pleased to have secured the services of Jack after a really successful loan at Worthing.

“He's had an excellent upbringing at Bournemouth and will add a different dimension to our midfield. His quality and ability will be evident when everyone gets to watch him at Gander Green Lane.''

In total he made a total of 19 appearances for the Rebels after joining midway through the campaign.

Weymouth-raised Wadham joined Cherries academy at 10 years of age, captaining the under-18s.

He also spent time on loan at Cherries’ non-league neighbours Dorchester Town during the 2021/22 season.

Primarily a central midfielder, Wadham is also capable of playing at centre-half in defence, often being deployed at the back during his time with the development squad.
