Cheryl excludes Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle in Girls Aloud's 15th anniversary celebration

Despite keeping largely out of the limelight since welcoming her first baby, son Bear, in March this year, Cheryl has taken to social media to celebrate her former band’s 15th anniversary.

The singer, who found fame in Girls Aloud in 2002, revealed that she was celebrating the poignant day with two of her former bandmates, however, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle’s invite to the event must have been lost in the post.

Posting a selfie alongside Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh, Cheryl told fans that the trio were drinking a coffee and babysitting as they reminisced about their 15 years in the limelight.

The star paid tribute to her friendship with Nicola and Kimberley in the caption, writing: “Crazy how time flies… 15 years ago today some of the best, craziest years of my life were just beginning. I had no idea what a life journey I was starting out on.

“We had some of the most amazing times of our lives and made some incredible pop moments to put the cherry on top.. In the end I left with these two amazing, inspiring gorgeous souls and the best friends anyone could ever ask for.

“You blessed me and I will never be able to thank you enough for the support, love and loyalty you brought to our group. I am so proud of what we achieved together.”

However, Cheryl did add a note to Sarah and Nadine at the end of her post, tagging them in as she continued: “Love you all @lilcola @kimberleywalshofficial @nadinecoyle @sarahnicoleharding”.

Nicola and Kimberley also shared the photo, writing a general message of celebration and tagging Nadine and Sarah in the posts – neither Nadine or Sarah have acknowledged the anniversary on Instagram.

It is no secret that there is a rift between the Girls Aloud girls, with Nadine claiming earlier this year that the feud started because her bandmates were “bitter” over the fact that she had the best voice.

Speaking to The Sun at the time she said: “It was fine at the start but there’s always politics in any band.

“It just happened that I always got more vocals than everybody else, so in terms of people wanting their voice heard, that wasn’t happening.

“And it made people, very bitter. They didn’t like that.”

Nadine has also claimed that her relationship with the group fell apart when the band decided to split in 2013 without telling her.

Cheryl later implied that Nadine was lying, saying that she is “full of s***” in a later interview.

Meanwhile, Sarah opened up about her relationship with the other girls during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother this summer.

Speaking about Cheryl, she said: “I haven’t spoken to her in a while.

“It’s not for me to say [if they have fallen out]. I don’t like talking about the other girls if it’s a personal thing.

“Being around girls all the time is difficult, you know?”
