Firehouse 51 is losing another member.

Kara Killmer, who plays paramedic Sylvie Brett on Chicago Fire, will exit the series in season 12, a source confirms to EW. The actress joined the NBC drama in its third season and has appeared in more than 190 episodes. News of her departure comes less than a month after the reveal that Tracy Spiridakos is leaving sibling show Chicago P.D.

Although it's unclear when exactly during the upcoming season Killmer depart, the exit isn't terribly shocking when looking at the story. After all, last season ended with Casey (Jesse Spencer) proposing to Brett. And seeing as how Casey currently lives in Oregon, all signs are pointing toward Sylvie saying yes and heading west (or deciding to make a very different move altogether). So maybe at least she'll get a happy ending?

The firehouse will certainly have to find a new EMT — and a great one at that — but the good news is that it won't feel too empty, since we know Taylor Kinney, who took a leave of absence from the show during season 11, will make his return in season 12.
