Child 'assaulted by large group of kids' at Darlington skate park left with black eye

Police are appealing for information after a child was reportedly assaulted by a large group of children at a Darlington skate park.

The alleged attack happened on Tuesday (June 18) at about 4pm in South Park, at the skate park where kids often gather with skateboards, scooters and bikes.

The child, whose age has not been confirmed by police, was left with a black eye and bruising after the incident.

Police are now seeking witnesses to come forward to assist their investigation.
