Child struck by car flown to hospital with 'serious' injuries

A child was flown to a specialist hospital, after being struck by a car on private land in Flintshire yesterday (Monday). The incident happened shortly before 5pm in the Queensferry area and the child was airlifted by air ambulance, to Alder Hey Children's Hospital, in Liverpool.

Yesterday, a North Wales Police Flintshire North update on incidents attended, said: "Officers dealt with a serious injury RTC, where a child had been struck by a car - this was on a private site."

Today a North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 5pm yesterday (Monday, May 20th), we received a call from the Welsh Ambulance Service reporting a child had been struck by a car on private land in the Queensferry area.

"Officers attended alongside colleagues from the ambulance service and the air ambulance. The child was later flown to Alder Hey hospital."

There were no further details on the incident, or the child's condition.
