Chris Brown’s ex Karrueche Tran files restraining order against him

Karrueche Tran has reportedly been granted a restraining order against ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

The 28-year-old model reportedly filed legal documentation against the Grammy award-winning singer last week, claiming that he physically abused her and also vowed to kill her.

TMZ reports that Karrueche, who split from the rapper two years ago, alleges in the documents that Chris had previously threatened to harm her, and recently threw a drink at one of her friends.

According to the publication, Karrueche told a judge, via a sworn statement, that Chris allegedly “told a few people that he was going to kill me” earlier this month.

She also accuses the R&B star of being physically abusive – claiming he once “punched me in the stomach twice”, and “pushed me down the stairs.”

Her decision to take the case to court reportedly comes after she received alleged threatening text messages from Chris, who now must keep a 100-yard distance from Karrueche, her mother and her brother.

The Daily Mail reports that the ‘With You’ singer recently posted a video on his Instagram account to dismiss the claims, apparently labelling the domestic abuse accusations as “b******.”

Speaking in a now-deleted clip, the musician reportedly said: “Make sure y’all don’t be listening to all this b*******, man. What all them other people on the outside doing, let them do what they doing. I don’t know what the f*** they talking about.”

Karrueche and Chris were in an on-and-off relationship together for around five years before splitting in 2015, after it was revealed that he had fathered a daughter, named Royalty, with another woman.

Chris previously pleaded guilty to felony assault of his ex-girlfriend, singer Rihanna; he was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community service.

A judge officially ended his probation in March 2015.
