Dancing On Ice's Christopher Dean has told fans that his skating partner Jayne Torvill's surgery "went well" and that she is now recovering.

The Bolero star, 65, hurt herself on the ice and wore a sparkly sling to match her green dress on the latest instalment of the ITV show, explaining that she had ruptured her bicep tendon.

She has now had the op and Dean posted an update on Twitter.
