Christopher Maloney dumps fiance after eight years together

Christopher Maloney has reportedly dumped his fiance, Gary Doran, after eight years together.

The former X Factor star’s relationship has come to a surprising end, with the crooner entering the new year officially single.

A source explained to The Sun: “Chris and Gary are both devastated that it hasn’t worked out between them after eight years together.

“They were solid at the beginning of this year when Chris was in the Celebrity Big Brother house but since then things haven’t been good.

“More details are bound to emerge but for now the wedding is very much off.”

Former EastEnders star, and Christopher’s close friend, Danniella Westbrook, famously helped the star propose to Gary back in 2015, and the insider added: “This will bring even more sadness to best pal Danniella who played a big part in Chris’s proposal.”

It was originally thought that Gary and Chris would tie the knot following Chris’s Celebrity Big Brother stint last January, but nothing ever happened.

However, Gary did recently gush that he is sure his fiance will make their big day “fun”, saying at the time: “One thing is for sure – if the wedding has anything to do with Chris you can guarantee it will include all our family and be a big, fun affair.”

Rather conveniently, Christopher is billed to appear in the upcoming series of Channel 5’s ‘In Therapy’, and is reportedly set to open up about his relationship troubles then.
