'Chunky Snow' Falls in Vermont as Nor'easter Moves Across Northeast
Residents across Vermont woke to heavy snow on Tuesday, March 14, as a nor’easter was predicted to affect the wider region into Wednesday.
Footage filmed by Twitter user Patrick Wickstrom shows thick snow blanketing a wooded area. “We got some chunky snow coming down here in Middlebury, VT!” Wickstrom tweeted.
The National Weather Service (NWS) forecast snow accumulations up to 10 inches. The weather service also warned of wind gusts as high as 35 mph.
Local news outlet WCAX3 reported more than 35,000 power outages due to the bad weather.
