City centre restaurant expands with new luxury dining area

Il Forno has launched a beautiful new private dining area following a hefty investment.

The restaurant has been a firm favourite since 2004 when it established its home on Duke Street. Known for pasta dishes, handmade pizza from its bespoke oven and its vast selection of wines from around the world, Il Forno invested £120,000 to open the extension for guests to enjoy.

The luxurious space has been created for large parties, private celebrations, birthdays, baby showers, and intimate weddings as well as for corporate businesses and board meetings, with the room complete with a private bar, wine wall and projector.

Seating 22, Il Forno’s new space adds to the already 150-seat strong venue, with the launch of a special a la carte group dining menu available for guests. The area will also serve as a backdrop to bespoke masterclasses and wine tastings complete with Italian small plates.

Paolo Cillo, owner and executive chef at Il Forno, said: “For years, we’ve been hosting large tables for our guests and have been frequently asked for private dining at Il Forno. We’ve invested over £120,000 into making the space as opulent and beautiful as it can be."

Those booking will have three hours minimum to enjoy the space, available for a £1200 minimum spend.
